Learning Preferences- Week 2

As I was in my field site I saw that one of the kids there is very creative. He loves drawing and painting. He doesn't really like reading or listening to the stories his teacher reads, but when they get to the part when they can draw and paint he is the happiest of all. I tried to see if writing was any better than reading but it didn't work either, he tried really hard but a lot of his letter ended up being backwards. This is how I found out that he was right minded, which means that he is very creative and likes things that include creativity rather than more serious things.

My First 2 Days At My Field Site- Week 1

My first 2 days at my field site were nice. I got to learn a lot about how things are done there. I love the kids and how they are all very smart and independent. My teacher is Mrs. Clifford, she is very nice and patient. I love the way she reads to her students, she uses different voices and volumes to make kids be more interested. I got to see the kids dance and how some of them couldn't dance the right ways so they were all acting funny, I was laughing. They like to move around a lot and they are very playful. I cant wait till I go there again and since I will be doing my Presentation I'm even more excited. One other thing I loved about my classroom was that there are lots of games, books and crayons so the kids get to have fun and learn at the same time. I am sure this will be an awesome year for me.

Image Scrimmage Changes

The grade on my Image Scrimmage was too low. I didn't do so good in all the sections except on "How to Read A Book Seminar." There are some sections on which  I do agree I deserved the grade I got but there are also some in which I think I deserved a little bit more. Something I could do better next time or something that I should have done better was on the "First impressions Last Forever" I wasn't  dressed professionally and I should have done that. On "Demonstrate How to Read a Book" I think I did need to speak louder but other than that I'm not sure what else I did wrong so I think I would need to talk to the people that graded me and see exactly why I got that grade. On my "What would You Do?" and "Verbal Essay" I'm happy with the grade I got and I understand that I was a little nervous. Lastly on my "How to Demonstration" I know I didn't do well because I wasn't ready, I didn't have any visuals and I was really nervous. So next time I have a demonstration to do I will spend more time on getting my stuff prepared and practice more so that I don't get as nervous. I hope that next time I have an important grade like this I will get more prepared.
